Seems anymore that spontenaeity only happens with people that live really close to you or that you talk to ALL the time. Maybe I'm feeling jaded, but I remember summers as a kid where no one was in camp, people were around all summer, and there was time to play at the pool and hang out. Nowadays everyone's off on multi-week vacations, sticking their kids in camps for weeks on end... no time to just chill out and have a beer with a friend on the porch while the burgers are grilling. I miss that.

This is an odd take on summertime - usually people long for the freedoms, the unscheduled, the unexpected. But the idea of keeping ourselves on schedule, listening to our bodies and generally being accountable to ourselves is a good one!

Thanks, once again, for the insight!
